Mississippi RiverKings falls to Fayetteville in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Fayetteville FireAntz's Ben Contini scored 3:13 into overtime to beat Mississippi RiverKings, 4-3 (OT).

Fayetteville overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The FireAntz trailed 2-0 after a goal by Mississippi RiverKings' Kevin Willer at 3:42 in the first period. Fayetteville tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Bobby Reed at 51 seconds in the third period.

The FireAntz were led by Contini, who tallied one goal.

Fayetteville put 33 shots on net during the contest, more than the 29.5 it averages per game.

Fayetteville additionally got points from Derek Elliott, who also registered one goal and one assist. Josh McQuade also scored for Fayetteville. More assists for Fayetteville came via Brandon Richardson, who had two and Mike Kavanagh, Aaron Atwell, Corey Toy, Anthony Bergin, and Andrew Smale, who contributed one a piece.

Mississippi RiverKings stifled the FireAntz's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Mississippi RiverKings' offense was helped by the efforts of its defensemen, who managed to put 20 shots on net during the game.
