Chris Campanale netted a hat trick to lead Mississippi RiverKings over the Louisiana IceGators, 5-1.

Louisiana was stymied by Mississippi RiverKings netminder Matthew Krahn, who stopped 39 shots during the victory. The solid play of Krahn will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 3.13.

Mississippi RiverKings outdid its season average for goals scored. Mississippi RiverKings averages 2.8 goals per game. Mississippi RiverKings' offense was clicking better than usual and put 35 shots on goal during the game, better than the 15.2 shots per game it averages.

Mississippi RiverKings also got a goal from Matt Harrington as well. Other players who recorded assists for Mississippi RiverKings were Matt Whitehead, who had four and Kevin Willer, Kyle Lundale, and Brian Yanovitch, who each chipped in one.

The IceGators did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Louisiana averages 3.2 goals per game. The IceGators' defensemen also contributed in the offensive zone and ended up with 20 shots between them. Louisiana's offense rang up 40 shots on Mississippi RiverKings' net.

The IceGators were led by Troy Ofukany, who dished out one assist.
