Mississippi Surge almost clawed its way back from a three-goal deficit, but the Pensacola Ice Flyers managed to pull out a 5-3 win in the end.

Pensacola led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Ice Flyers' Brent Clarke's scored at 19:38 in the third period to put Pensacola up 6-3.

Jordan Chong was all over the ice for the Ice Flyers, as he racked up two goals in the win. Chong's tallies came at 1:22 into the third period to make the score 3-3 and 16:51 into the third to make the score 5-3 Pensacola.
