Ross MacKinnon recorded a shutout against Mississippi Surge as the Pensacola Ice Flyers picked up a 4-0 win.

Pensacola pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 24 penalty minutes.

The Ice Flyers stifled Mississippi Surge's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Pensacola's defensive play was more effective than usual against Mississippi Surge. The Ice Flyers average 2.4 goals allowed per game.

Pensacola was helped by Ryan Raven, who registered one goal. Raven scored 4:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pensacola. Jeremiah Ketts provided the assist. Ron Cramer also scored for Pensacola. Other players who recorded assists for Pensacola were Ryan Salvis, Leo Thomas, and Brent Clarke, who contributed one a piece.
