Mississippi Surge survived a determined comeback attempt by the Louisiana IceGators on the way to a 2-1 win. A goal by Jay Silvia put Mississippi Surge up 2-0 in the third period, but Louisiana pulled to within one on Denny Kearney's tally 18:55 into the third period.
