The Huntsville Havoc tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but Mississippi RiverKings held on for a 4-3 victory. Mississippi RiverKings took a 4-2 lead during the second period, only to have Huntsville storm back on a Kyle Laughlin goal 8:03 into the third period to pull to one goal down. Mississippi RiverKings was paced by Darrell Stoddard, who registered one goal. Stoddard scored 11:55 into the second period to make the score Mississippi RiverKings. Steven Kaunisto picked up the assist. The 36 shots that Mississippi RiverKings put on net surpassed Mississippi RiverKings' average of 29.8 shots per game this season. Mississippi RiverKings additionally got points from Jeremy Dawes, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Matt Whitehead, who also had one goal and one assist.
