The Augusta RiverHawks' Shawn Skelly had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 7-4 win over the Fayetteville FireAntz.

Augusta's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Fayetteville power plays. The RiverHawks outdid their season average for goals scored. Augusta has scored at the pace of 2.2 goals per game during the current campaign. The RiverHawks put 40 shots on net during the contest, more than the 29.9 they average per game.

Augusta additionally got points from Ian Watters, who also tallied two goals and one assist. Taylor McReynolds also scored for Augusta. In addition, Augusta received assists from Michael Switzer, Matt Atsoff, Ian Jensen, and Matt Auffrey, who contributed one a piece.

Fayetteville managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. BJ OBrien made 25 saves before being replaced by Robbie Moss, who took the win and made 11 saves. Augusta incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Shane Madolora took the loss and made 32 saves before being replaced by Marco Emond who made one save.
