The Pensacola Ice Flyers had trouble finding ways to stop the Knoxville Ice Bears, which beat Ice Flyers, 4-1. Berkley Scott was all over the ice for Knoxville, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Scott scored the first of his two goals at 7:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Knoxville. Eric Satim assisted on the tally. Scott's next tally made the score 3-0 Knoxville with 9:04 left in the second period. Emery Olauson picked up the assist. The Ice Bears put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Pensacola to score on any of its four power plays. Knoxville was below its usual level of shot production, taking 17 shots compared to the 33.1 the Ice Bears average. Knoxville also got points from Olauson, who also had one goal and two assists. Tyler Fernandez also scored for Knoxville. The Ice Flyers were held below their usual level of production. Pensacola puts an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game. The Ice Flyers put 47 shots on net during the contest, more than the 29.6 they average per game. Pensacola was led by Pat Knowlton, who scored the team's only goal. Knowlton scored 19:18 into the third period to make the score 4-1 Knoxville. Knoxville's Connor Toomey stopped 46 shots out of the 47 that he faced.
