The Pensacola Ice Flyers came close to giving away a three-goal lead to the Louisiana IceGators, but did just enough to escape with a 4-2 victory.

Pensacola led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Ice Flyers' Pat Knowlton's scored at 12:36 in the second period to put Pensacola up 3-0.

The Ice Flyers got the win behind a great game by Knowlton, who had two goals and one assist.

Pensacola relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Leo Thomas, Jordan Chong and Knowlton took 15 of the team's 29 shots.
