Pensacola falls to Huntsville in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Huntsville Havoc's Ray Ortiz scored 3:10 into overtime to beat the Pensacola Ice Flyers, 4-3 (OT).

Huntsville was paced by Ortiz, who finished with one goal and one assist.

The Havoc's offense was clicking better than usual and put 37 shots on goal during the game, better than the 22.2 shots per game they average.

Sam Cannata also scored for Huntsville. More assists for Huntsville came via Colin Reddin and Shane Hart, who contributed one a piece.

Pensacola excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Ice Flyers put 39 shots on net during the contest, more than the 29.8 they average per game.

Pensacola was helped by Ryan Raven, who registered one goal. Raven scored 3:56 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Leo Thomas provided the assist. Pensacola also got a goal from Gabriel Boutin-Gagnon as well. In addition, Pensacola received assists from Ryan Salvis, Brent Clarke, and Aaron Schmit, who each chipped in one.

Dan McWhinney recorded 36 saves for Huntsville. The Havoc incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Ice Flyers' Steve Christie stopped 33 shots out of the 37 that he faced. Pensacola incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
