Mississippi Surge completes comeback, beats Mississippi RiverKings, 4-3Landers Center Fri, Nov 16, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, Mississippi Surge battled back to claim a 4-3 victory over Mississippi RiverKings. Mississippi Surge let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a two hole to pick up the win. Mississippi Surge took a 3-2 advantage on a goal by Nicholas Kuqali at 7:15 in the third period. Mississippi Surge found itself down 2-0 after Mississippi RiverKings' Nick Walsh put the puck home at 8:07 in the second period. After tying things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Walsh at 10:23 in the third, Mississippi Surge got the game-winner from Jeff Grant at 19:49 in the third period. In a losing effort, Mississippi RiverKings was led by Walsh, who had two goals. The defensemen of Mississippi Surge were also effective in Mississippi RiverKings' zone, and came away with two goals. With 40 shots on target during the contest, Mississippi Surge exceeded the 31.1 shots it averages per game this year. Mississippi Surge also got points from Corey Tamblyn, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Mississippi Surge also got a goal from James Isaacs as well.
