Pensacola falls to Fayetteville in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

John Clewlow gave the Fayetteville FireAntz a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Pensacola Ice Flyers when he scored 1:52 into the extra period.

Fayetteville was led by Clewlow, who finished with one goal.

Fayetteville additionally got points from Brandon Richardson, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Tristin Llewellyn, who also registered one goal and one assist. Fayetteville also got a goal from Justin Faryna as well. More assists for Fayetteville came via Josh McQuade, who had two and Derek Elliott and Ben Contini, who contributed one a piece.

Pensacola excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. By firing 35 shots on goal, the Ice Flyers exceeded the 30.1 shots they average per game this year.

Pensacola was helped by Ryan Raven, who racked up one goal. Raven scored on the power play 10:11 into the second period to make the score 2-2. The Ice Flyers had taken the advantage when the FireAntz's McQuade got sent off for holding. Donnie Harris assisted on the tally. Leo Thomas also scored for Pensacola. In addition, Pensacola received assists from Jeremy Gates, Ryan Salvis, John Dunbar, and Pat Knowlton, who each chipped in one.

Marco Emond rejected 32 shots on goal for Fayetteville. The FireAntz ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. Steve Christie recorded 23 saves for Pensacola. The Ice Flyers totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 2-for-4 on the power play.
