New York Apple Core holds on for 4-3 win against Brewster Bulldogs

Brewster Bulldogs tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but New York Apple Core would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

New York Apple Core made the score 4-2 on a goal by Joe Finneran at 16:39 in the third period, and Brewster Bulldogs got as close as 4-3 when Gregory Hennings scored 18:41 into the third period.

New York Apple Core was paced by Finneran, who had one goal.

New York Apple Core kept Brewster Bulldogs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Matthew Rubenstein made 39 saves on 43 shots. New York Apple Core could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game.

Andrew Cunningham also scored for New York Apple Core. Other players who recorded assists for New York Apple Core were James Delahanty, Colton Schnall, Kieran Hurley, and Brian OSullivan, who each chipped in one.

Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals.

Brewster Bulldogs also got a goal from Richard Folchetti as well. In addition, Brewster Bulldogs received assists from James Maxson, who had one and Christopher Hagen, who had two.

New York Apple Core's Madison Martin stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that he faced. New York Apple Core registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Brewster Bulldogs incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
