New York Apple Core pulls away in second, rolls over Brewster Bulldogs, 7-1

Brewster Bulldogs allowed New York Apple Core to net three goals during the second period and fell, 7-1.

Brian OSullivan had a great game for New York Apple Core, netting two goals. OSullivan scored on the power play at 7:45 into the first period to make the score 1-0 New York Apple Core and again while 5:57 into the second to make the score 2-0 New York Apple Core.

New York Apple Core was led by goalie Dominic Lamanno, who finished with 26 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Lamanno will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.03.

New York Apple Core excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. New York Apple Core kept Brewster Bulldogs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Matthew Rubenstein made 34 saves on 41 shots. New York Apple Core surpassed its usual scoring output this season. New York Apple Core has scored at the pace of 4.1 goals per game during the current campaign.

New York Apple Core additionally got points from Andrew Cunningham, who also had two goals and one assist to lead the team in points, Colton Schnall, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Kyle Becker, who also tallied one goal and one assist. New York Apple Core also got a goal from Dillon Radin as well. Other players who recorded assists for New York Apple Core were Phil Laurelli, who had two and Travis Quigley, Shane Higgins, and Joe Finneran, who each chipped in one.

Brewster Bulldogs' penalty kill unit could not stop New York Apple Core's power play, which converted on two of three opportunities.

New York Apple Core incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Brewster Bulldogs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
