Reiter nets hat trick, leads Suffolk to 6-0 win over Palm Beach

A hat trick by Jason Reiter was the highlight in Juniors' 6-0 win against the Palm Beach Hawks.

Reiter got on the scoresheet 31 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 1:46 into the first and at 22:28 into the first.

The Suffolk Juniors' penalty kill excelled, as Suffolk gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Palm Beach's David Kutnar could not handle what the Juniors threw at him, as Suffolk netted its goals off of six.

The Juniors stifled the Hawks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Suffolk's defensive effort looked to be improved. The Juniors allow 3.0 goals per game. Suffolk found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Juniors average 3.1 goals per contest. Suffolk's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Suffolk also got points from Michael Gilroy, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Suffolk also got a goal from Nicholas Mangone as well. More assists for Suffolk came via Christopher Stemke, who had two, Matthew Gault, who had three, and Casey OLeary, Benjamin Sorkin, Michael Martino, and Christopher Seeback, who contributed one a piece.

Palm Beach did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Hawks put an average of 2.4 pucks into the net per game.

The Juniors incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Palm Beach incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
