DeCosta's big game bests Suffolk in 9-4 Jersey Wildcats win

Cory DeCosta was all over the ice for Jersey Wildcats, as he tallied two goals and two assists in Jersey Wildcats' 9-4 win over the Suffolk Juniors.

DeCosta's tallies came at 13:28 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Jersey Wildcats and 15:33 into the second to make the score 5-2 Jersey Wildcats.

Jersey Wildcats' offense rang up 34 shots on Suffolk's net. Jersey Wildcats bested its season scoring average. Jersey Wildcats averages 3.6 goals per game. Jersey Wildcats found itself short handed often, totaling 20 penalty minutes and allowing nine power plays.

Jersey Wildcats additionally got points from Jack Green, who also tallied two goals and two assists, Geoffrey Liter, who also had two goals and two assists, and Lucas Moser, who also registered three goals and one assist. The Juniors had gotten the advantage when Jersey Wildcats' Max Vorob was sent off for roughing. Michael Gilroy assisted on the tally. Gault's next tally on the power play made the score 3-2 Jersey Wildcats with 16:22 left in the second period. Suffolk had taken the advantage when Jersey Wildcats' Sheikh got sent off for high sticking. Gilroy picked up the assist. Michael Leone also scored for Suffolk. More assists for Suffolk came via Joseph Duszak, who had one.

Jersey Wildcats registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Daniel Potter made 25 saves for the Juniors on 34 shots. Suffolk incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
