Brewster Ice Arena    Sat, Dec 08, 2012

Blaze Vogliano had two goals to lead the Brewster Bulldogs to a 5-2 victory over the Frederick Freeze.

Vogliano scored at 1:49 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brewster and again while 16:14 into the third to make the score 3-2 Brewster.

Brewster managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Bulldogs wound up below its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. Brewster forced Frederick goalie Michal Marcinek to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots.

Brewster also had goals scored by David Rubenstein, who had one and Sean Henderson, who had two. More assists for Brewster came via Christopher Litwin and Conor Bunyan, who each chipped in one and Francesco Sherding and Brad Alexander, who contributed two a piece.

The Freeze's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Brewster power plays. The Bulldogs were unable to stop Frederick from sending pucks towards the net, and the Freeze eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.
