Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Jersey Wildcats defeated the NY AppleCore Minor B in a shootout 4-3 (1-0 SO).

Jersey Wildcats overcame a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Jersey Wildcats was down 3-2 after a goal by NY AppleCore's Cale Schoenberg at 15:48 in the third period. Jersey Wildcats tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Max Vorob at 17:34 in the third period.

Jersey Wildcats was helped by Zakariya Sheikh, who tallied one goal. Sheikh scored 12:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Jersey Wildcats. Vorob assisted on the tally. Jersey Wildcats additionally got points from Vorob, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Jersey Wildcats also got a goal from Erik Andersson as well.
