Ian Soifer gave the Frederick Freeze a 4-3 (OT) victory over the NY AppleCore Minor B when he scored 2:29 into the extra period.

Frederick was paced by Soifer, who registered one goal.

NY AppleCore was unable to stop the Freeze from sending pucks towards the net, and Frederick eventually piled up 61 shots on goal.

Frederick additionally got points from Reid Bibb, who also had one goal and one assist and Florian Cotera, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Richard Novodomec also scored for Frederick. Other players who recorded assists for Frederick were Zachary Pard, who had two and Adam Taylor and Logan Coomes, who each chipped in one.

The Minor B forced the Freeze goalie Michal Marcinek to work between the pipes, taking 56 shots.

NY AppleCore was helped by Blake Manginell, who racked up one goal. Manginell scored 13:11 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jonathan Kaszuba provided the assist. NY AppleCore also got a goal from Jonas Toupal as well. In addition, NY AppleCore received assists from Kevin T Miller and Daniel Basist, who contributed one a piece.
