South Shore outlasts Jersey Wildcats, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the South Shore Kings escaped with a 4-2 victory over Jersey Wildcats.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Christopher Oliveira secured the win for South Shore with a goal in the second period.

Daniel Clifford and Evan Jacques provided the spark for the Kings, combining for three goals and three assists. Clifford racked up two goals and one assist and Jacques also notched one goal and two assists.

South Shore kept Jersey Wildcats' goalie busy throughout the game, and Grant Perry made 32 saves on 36 shots.

South Shore additionally got points from Jacques, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Other players who recorded assists for South Shore were Dillon Gargano, who had one.

Jersey Wildcats was led by Geoffrey Liter, who tallied two goals. Liter scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 4:52 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Lucas Moser picked up the assist. Liter's next tally on the power play made the score 2-2 with 7:07 left in the second period. Christopher Sanchez provided the assist. More assists for Jersey Wildcats came via Erik Andersson and Zakariya Sheikh, who each chipped in one.

Ian Freeman made 23 saves for the Kings on 25 shots. South Shore incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Jersey Wildcats incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
