The Gillette Wild relied on the sparkling performance of Brandon Kruckenberg in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Great Falls Americans.

Gillette was paced by Boris Knyazev, who registered one goal and one assist. Knyazev scored 16:37 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Gillette. Tyler Johnson picked up the assist.

The Wild kept Great Falls' goalie busy throughout the game, and Evan Hauser made 37 saves on 41 shots.

Gillette also got points from Taylor Motsinger, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Gillette also got a goal from Trent Dillinger as well. Other players who recorded assists for Gillette were Ronnie Wilshusen, Steve Patafio, Tyler Cavan, and Alex King, who contributed one a piece.

Gillette was unable to stop the Americans from sending pucks towards the net, and Great Falls eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

The Americans were led by Nate Bastian, who scored the team's only goal. Bastian scored on the power play 16:29 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Gillette. Great Falls had gotten the advantage when the Wild's Cavan was sent off for interference. Billy Grillo provided the assist.

Kruckenberg recorded 30 saves for Gillette. The Wild incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Americans incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
