Good leads Billings, offense over Bozeman, 6-3

Ivan Good was a peerless playmaker for the Billings Bulls, as he dished out four to beat the Bozeman Icedogs, 6-3.

Billings pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 26 penalty minutes.

Bozeman was unable to stop the Bulls from sending pucks towards the net, and Billings eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. The Bulls bested their season scoring average. This season, Billings averages 2.9 goals per contest.

Billings additionally got points from Dexter Nealy, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Jarrett Stark, who also tallied two goals and one assist. Billings also got a goal from Stephen Thompson as well. Other players who recorded assists for Billings were Erik Schulte, Nik Nasby, and Dixon Whitehead, who each chipped in one.

The Icedogs stifled the Bulls' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Bozeman was led by Spencer Hallin, who grabbed two goals. Hallin scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 13:40 into the second period to make the score 5-2 Billings. The Icedogs had gotten the advantage when Billings' Schulte was sent off for interference. Brett Barezewski assisted on the tally. Hallin's next tally on the power play made the score 5-3 Billings with 20:00 left in the third period. Tristen Franzen picked up the assist. Tre Dolezel also scored for Bozeman. In addition, Bozeman received assists from Tyler Elson and Steven Nisbet, who contributed one a piece.

The Bulls' Matt Hultman stopped 15 shots out of the 18 that he faced. Billings registered zero goals on four power play opportunities. John Shavic recorded 26 saves for Bozeman. The Icedogs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
