Taylor Motsinger lifted the Gillette Wild to a 4-2 victory with a hat trick against the Billings Bulls.

Motsinger's first goal came 2:09 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:53 into the first and at 19:24 into the third.

Gillette's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Billings power plays.

Gillette also got points from Matt Rose, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for Gillette came via Brandon Miller, who had one and Tyler Cavan, who had three.

Billings racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with eight minors and two majors for 46 minutes in penalty time. The Bulls had been averaging 26.0 minutes in penalties per game. Billings kept the Wild's goalie busy throughout the game, and Brandon Kruckenberg made 31 saves on 33 shots.

The Bulls were helped by Kyle Blankenship, who grabbed one goal. Blankenship scored 4:06 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Gillette. Connor Hayden picked up the assist. Billings also got a goal from Dexter Nealy as well. In addition, Billings received assists from Conner Hicks, Nick Rizzo, and Nik Nasby, who each chipped in one.

Gillette totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 1-for-6 on the power play. Billings' Matt Hultman stopped 24 shots out of the 27 that he faced. For the Bulls, Hicks was ejected from the game.
