Brandon Busse was all over the ice for the Yellowstone Quake, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Yellowstone's 3-0 win over the Great Falls Americans. Busse's tallies came at 7:23 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Yellowstone and on the power play 8:26 into the second to make the score 2-0 Yellowstone.The Quake pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 30 penalty minutes. Yellowstone put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Great Falls to score on any of its six power plays. The Americans were unable to stop the Quake from sending pucks towards the net, and Yellowstone eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Yellowstone also got a goal from Michael Berens as well. Other players who recorded assists for Yellowstone were George Splichal, Sam Basich, Trent Carter, Bryan Standly, and Josh Neumann, who contributed one a piece. Great Falls was often in penalty trouble, totaling 11 minors and one major for 47 minutes in penalty time. The Americans surpassed its season average of 21.0 penalty minutes per game. Great Falls did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Americans put an average of 2.5 pucks into the net per game. Great Falls did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 11 shots on net to force 11 saves. JT Blum rejected 11 shots on goal for the Quake. Yellowstone registered one goal on nine power play opportunities. Erik Powell made 31 saves for the Americans on 34 shots.
