Corbin Belling lifted the Helena Bighorns to a 7-3 victory with a hat trick against the Billings Bulls.

Belling's first goal came 3:00 into the first period. He then added goals at 41 seconds into the second and at 14:21 into the third.

Billings' power play was ineffective against Helena's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The the Bighorns penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled 11 minors and one major for 37 minutes in penalty time. Helena surpassed its season average of 18.0 penalty minutes per game. The Bighorns kept the Bulls' goalie busy throughout the game, and Nic Wackerly made 34 saves on 41 shots. Helena's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.
