Behind a great game by Brandon Busse, who had one goal and three assists, the Yellowstone Quake defeated the Bozeman Icedogs, 10-2. Busse got on the board by slotting home a goal 13:52 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Yellowstone. Tommy Toohey provided the assist. Busse dished an assist on Andrew Lansing's goal that made the score 1-0 Yellowstone at 24 seconds into the first period. He then added assists on George Splichal's goal at 3:48 into the first and on Michael Berens's goal at 14:39 into the second.Yellowstone's offense rang up 50 shots on Bozeman's net. The Quake found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, Yellowstone averages 4.9 goals per contest. The Quake's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals. Yellowstone additionally got points from Berens, who also finished with one goal and three assists, Splichal, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Lansing, who also racked up three goals and one assist to lead the team in points, and Bryan Standly, who also had two goals and one assist. Sam Basich also scored for Yellowstone. In addition, Yellowstone received assists from Jimmy Tich, Josh Greenaker, and Josh Neumann, who each chipped in one and Anthony Leong, Orri Haman, and Oli Jansson, who contributed two a piece. The Icedogs were led by Tyler Elson, who tallied two goals. Elson scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 10:53 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Yellowstone. Bozeman had gotten the advantage when Yellowstone's Trent Carter was sent off for cross checking. Spencer Hallin picked up the assist. Elson's next tally on the power play made the score 9-2 Yellowstone with 4:51 left in the second period. Tristen Franzen provided the assist. More assists for Bozeman came via Jonathon Benavides, who had one. Rocco Yapello recorded 22 saves for the Quake. Yellowstone incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Jude Hall made 40 saves for the Icedogs on 50 shots. Bozeman incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
