Helena's Baker deadly on offense in 4-0 win against Missoula

Behind a great game by Kyle Baker, who had two goals, the Helena Bighorns defeated the Missoula Maulers, 4-0.

Baker's tallies came on the power play at 16:34 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Helena and on the power play 18:26 into the second to make the score 2-0 Helena.

Helena was boosted by Jett Salinas, who turned in a shutout with 31 saves. Salinas certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.0 entering the contest.

Missoula's power play was ineffective against the Bighorns' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Helena put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Maulers to score on any of their seven power plays. The Bighorns' offense operated below they season average. Helena puts an average of 6.8 pucks into the net per game. The Bighorns' offense rang up 60 shots on Missoula's net.

Helena additionally got points from Cody Blom, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Dylan Webster also scored for Helena. Other players who recorded assists for Helena were Theo Campe, Christian Axelson, and Parker Olson, who contributed one a piece.
