Henne leads Helena over Great Falls, 10-1

Behind a great game by Logan Henne, who had two goals and two assists, the Helena Bighorns defeated the Great Falls Americans, 10-1.

Henne found the back of the net 14:36 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Helena and again while 10:36 into the second to make the score 4-0 Helena.

Great Falls fell victim to a deadly Helena power play, which ripped the Americans for four goals.

The Bighorns made Great Falls' netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, getting 53 shots and forcing 43 saves. Angus Klancher made 24 stops and Evan Hauser made 19. Helena's goal total was higher than its season average. The Bighorns have scored at the pace of 6.9 goals per game during the current campaign. Helena's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals.

Helena also got points from Theo Campe, who also had two goals and two assists, Dylan Webster, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Ben Henne, who also registered one goal and two assists, and John Petersson, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Helena also had goals scored by Kyle Baker, who had one and Brandon Rumble, who had two. In addition, Helena received assists from Parker Olson, Wyatt Winfield, Nick Okada, Kevin Choi, and Cody Blom, who contributed one a piece and Christian Axelson, Devin Smith, and Corbin Belling, who each chipped in two.

The Americans' offense were handcuffed by the Bighorns' defensive play, and Great Falls managed only 11 shots on goal during the game.

Daniil Kulikov also scored for Great Falls. More assists for Great Falls came via Nate Bastian and Lucas Stover, who contributed one a piece.

Jett Salinas recorded 10 saves for Helena. The Bighorns incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Americans incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
