Jett Salinas recorded a shutout against the Gillette Wild as the Helena Bighorns picked up a 3-0 win.

Helena was sparked by Parker Olson, who racked up one goal. Olson scored 13:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Helena. Dylan Webster provided the assist.

The Bighorns stifled Gillette's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Helena was held below its usual level of production. The Bighorns put an average of 6.8 pucks into the net per game. Helena kept the Wild's goalie busy throughout the game, and Nick Vittori made 66 saves on 69 shots.

Helena also got a goal from Brandon Rumble as well. More assists for Helena came via Corbin Belling, Logan Henne, and Kevin Choi, who contributed one a piece.

The Gillette penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled seven minors and two majors for 34 minutes in penalty time. The Wild had been averaging 20.0 minutes in penalties per game. Gillette could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Wild average 4.7 goals per game. Gillette forced the Bighorns goalie Salinas to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots.

Salinas rejected 42 shots on goal for Helena. The Bighorns incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Wild registered zero goals on five power play opportunities. For Gillette, Darren Banks was ejected from the game.
