Great Falls falls to Billings in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

The Billings Bulls' Jarrett Stark scored 2:20 into overtime to beat the Great Falls Americans, 5-4 (OT).

Billings came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Bulls fell behind 3-1 after a goal by Great Falls' Doug Keller at 18:54 in the second period. Billings knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Stephen Thompson at 18:02 in the third period.

The Bulls put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Americans to score on any of their six power plays. Billings' offense rang up 42 shots on Great Falls' net.

Billings also got points from Adam Wikingsson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Stark, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Other players who recorded assists for Billings were Alex Herman, who had two and Reed Kaiser, Nick Rizzo, and Nic Wackerly, who contributed one a piece.

The Americans were helped by Lucas Lomax, who registered two goals. Lomax scored the first of his two goals at 18:42 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Matt Douglas picked up the assist. Lomax's next tally made the score 2-1 Great Falls with 17:38 left in the second period. Great Falls also got a goal from Craig Bufford as well. In addition, Great Falls received assists from Daniil Kulikov, who had two and New Player, who had three.

Matt Hultman made 11 saves before being replaced by Wackerly, who took the win and made 12 saves. The Bulls incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Erik Powell rejected 37 shots on goal for Great Falls. The Americans incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
