A hat trick by Jimmy Tich was the highlight in Quake's 4-0 win against the Great Falls Americans. Tich's first goal came 14 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 11:59 into the first and at 15:50 into the first.The Yellowstone Quake's penalty kill excelled, as Yellowstone gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. The Quake stifled Great Falls' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Yellowstone's offense rang up 44 shots on the Americans' net. Yellowstone also got a goal from Orri Haman as well. More assists for Yellowstone came via Sam Basich, who had two and Anthony Leong, Michael Berens, George Splichal, and Chris Andre, who contributed one a piece. Great Falls was held below its usual level of production. The Americans average 2.7 goals per game. Jared Schletty rejected 23 shots on goal for the Quake. Yellowstone incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. Erik Powell recorded 40 saves for Great Falls. The Americans incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
