Stark nets hat trick, leads Billings to 5-3 win over Bozeman

A hat trick by Jarrett Stark was the highlight in Bulls' 5-3 win against the Bozeman Icedogs.

Stark notched his first tally 5:03 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:02 into the second and at 5:54 into the third.

The Billings Bulls kept Bozeman's goalie busy throughout the game, and John Shavic made 30 saves on 35 shots. Billings was ineffective while on the power play, as it was held to two goals off of nine man advantages.

Billings also got points from John Vant, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Billings also got a goal from Dixon Whitehead as well. In addition, Billings received assists from Adam Wikingsson, who had one and Nick Rizzo, who had two.

The Icedogs had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just two goals on 10 chances.

Bozeman was helped by Steven Nisbet, who registered one goal. Nisbet scored 19:10 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Tyler Reble picked up the assist. Spencer Hallin also scored for Bozeman. Other players who recorded assists for Bozeman were Trent Carter, Tyler Elson, Jesse Game, and Brett Barezewski, who contributed one a piece.

The Bulls' Nic Wackerly stopped 12 shots out of the 15 that he faced. Billings incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. The Icedogs incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
