The Helena Bighorns had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-1 win over the Great Falls Americans. Great Falls was stymied by Helena netminder Alek Lazarski, who stopped 35 shots during the victory. The Americans' power play was ineffective against the Bighorns' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Helena's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Great Falls power plays. The Bighorns' offense rang up 55 shots on Great Falls' net. Helena was helped by Kevin Choi, who had one goal.
