The Yellowstone Quake had trouble finding ways to stop the Helena Bighorns, which beat Quake, 5-0.

Helena was led by Parker Olson, who finished with one goal and one assist. Olson scored 14:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Helena. Corbin Belling assisted on the tally.

The Bighorns made Yellowstone's goaltenders to work in net, taking 44 shots and forcing 39 saves. Jared Schletty made 33 stops and Trevor Zangs made six. Helena excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Bighorns did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Helena puts an average of 7.3 pucks into the net per game.

Helena also got points from Dylan Webster, who also registered one goal and one assist. Kyle Baker also scored for Helena. In addition, Helena received assists from Christian Axelson, who had two.

The Quake's offense operated below they season average. Yellowstone averages 4.3 goals per game.

The Bighorns' Alek Lazarski stopped 19 shots out of the 19 that he faced. Helena incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Quake incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For Yellowstone, Michael Berens was ejected from the game.
