Huge game by Cavan boosts Gillette over Bozeman, 6-1Haynes Pavillion Sat, Dec 29, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
Tyler Cavan had two goals and one assist to lead the Gillette Wild to a 6-1 victory over the Bozeman Icedogs. Cavan found the back of the net 15:55 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Gillette and again while 4:08 into the third to make the score 3-1 Gillette.Bozeman was unable to stop Gillette from sending pucks towards the net, and the Wild eventually piled up 58 shots on goal. Gillette also got points from Brandon Miller, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Adam Pecht, who also registered one goal and one assist. Gillette also got a goal from Boris Knyazev as well. In addition, Gillette received assists from Tyler Johnson, Alex King, and Brandon Castleberry, who each chipped in one and Trent Dillinger and Taylor Motsinger, who contributed two a piece. The Icedogs put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Gillette to score on any of its five power plays. Bozeman was led by Tyler Elson, who scored the team's only goal. Elson scored 11:38 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Sean Kelley made 24 saves for the Wild on 25 shots. Gillette ended with seven minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major. Jude Hall recorded 52 saves for the Icedogs. Bozeman totaled 35 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play.
