The Bozeman Icedogs had trouble finding ways to stop the Missoula Maulers, which beat Icedogs, 5-2.

Missoula kept Bozeman's goalie busy throughout the game, and John Shavic made 41 saves on 46 shots.

The Maulers were led by Michael Cummings, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Cummings scored 11:20 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Missoula. Other players who recorded assists for Missoula were Brett Mathews, who had one.

The Icedogs' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Missoula power plays.

Bozeman was helped by Brett Barezewski, who finished with one goal. Barezewski scored 14 seconds into the second period to make the score 3-1 Missoula. Jason Henry also scored for Bozeman. More assists for Bozeman came via Trent Carter and Tyler Elson, who contributed one a piece.
