Nealy's hat trick boosts Billings over Bozeman, 8-0

Dexter Nealy lifted the Billings Bulls to an 8-0 victory with a hat trick against the Bozeman Icedogs.

Nealy notched his first tally 2:25 into the first period. He then added goals at 4:31 into the third and at 12:53 into the third.

Billings stifled Bozeman's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bulls' defensive effort looked to be improved. Billings gives up 2.8 goals on average per game. The Icedogs were unable to stop the Bulls from sending pucks towards the net, and Billings eventually piled up 44 shots on goal. The Bulls bested their season scoring average. Billings averages 3.0 goals per game. The Bulls got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game.

Others who scored for Billings included Nick Rizzo, who had two and Colter Endy, Stephen Thompson, and John Vant, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Billings were Kyle Blankenship, who had two, Dixon Whitehead, who had three, and Erik Schulte, Luke Bing, and Jarrett Stark, who each chipped in one.

Bozeman did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 12 shots on net to force 12 saves.

Nic Wackerly recorded 12 saves for Billings. The Bulls incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Icedogs' John Shavic stopped 36 shots out of the 44 that he faced. Bozeman incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
