Powell, Great Falls blank Yellowstone, 2-0

Erik Powell was superb between the pipes for the Great Falls Americans, as he did not allow a goal in a 2-0 victory over the Yellowstone Quake.

Great Falls' penalty kill excelled, as the Americans gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

Great Falls was sparked by Mikhal Kliment, who racked up one goal. Kliment scored 14:56 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Great Falls. Daniil Kulikov assisted on the tally.

The Americans stifled Yellowstone's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Great Falls also got a goal from Lucas Lomax as well. Other players who recorded assists for Great Falls were Doug Keller, Max Kaercher, and Lucas Stover, who contributed one a piece.

The Quake's offense operated below they season average. Yellowstone averages 4.6 goals per game. The Quake kept Great Falls' goalie busy throughout the game, and Powell made 38 saves on 38 shots.

The Americans incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Yellowstone's Jared Schletty stopped 25 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The Quake incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
