The Helena Bighorns were firing on all cylinders against the Missoula Maulers, and when the final buzzer sounded Bighorns emerged with a 5-1 win.

Helena was led by Ben Henne, who tallied one goal and one assist. Henne scored 7:40 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Helena. Christian Axelson provided the assist.

The Bighorns' offense operated below they season average. Helena puts an average of 7.5 pucks into the net per game. Missoula was unable to stop the Bighorns from sending pucks towards the net, and Helena eventually piled up 43 shots on goal.

Helena also got points from Parker Olson, who also had one goal and one assist. Helena also had goals scored by Kyle Baker, who had one and Corbin Belling, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Helena were Dylan Webster, Devin Smith, Logan Hawgood, and Matt Mohar, who contributed one a piece.

The Maulers could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Missoula averages 5.0 goals per game.

Jett Salinas made 23 saves for the Bighorns on 24 shots. Helena incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Mckinlee Baum recorded 38 saves for the Maulers. Missoula incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
