Billings outlasts Bozeman, 4-3

The Billings Bulls and the Bozeman Icedogs were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Billings made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-3.

No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Adam Wikingsson at 15:14 of the third period.

The Bulls' penalty kill excelled, as Billings gave up zero goals despite allowing eight power plays.

The Bulls stifled Bozeman's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Billings forced the Icedogs goalie John Shavic to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots.

Billings additionally got points from Stephen Thompson, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Reed Kaiser also scored for Billings. In addition, Billings received assists from Trey Robillard, Cisco Yslas, Jarrett Stark, Connor Hayden, and Christopher Timm, who each chipped in one.

Bozeman was led by Ben Henry, who had one goal and two assists. Henry scored 6:41 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Jason Henry provided the assist. Bozeman also got points from Trent Carter, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Bozeman also got a goal from Jesse Game as well. Other players who recorded assists for Bozeman were Chase D'Agostino, who had two.

Nic Wackerly rejected 19 shots on goal for the Bulls. Billings incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Shavic recorded 40 saves for the Icedogs. Bozeman incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
