Yellowstone rolls over Bozeman, 7-3

The Yellowstone Quake were firing on all cylinders against the Bozeman Icedogs, and when the final buzzer sounded Quake emerged with a 7-3 win.

Yellowstone got the win thanks to a great game by Chris Andre, who had one goal and two assists. Andre scored 6:43 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Yellowstone. Michael Berens assisted on the tally.

The Quake pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 14 penalty minutes.

Yellowstone's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Bozeman power plays. The Quake's offense rang up 49 shots on Bozeman's net.

Yellowstone also got points from Berens, who also finished with two goals and one assist, Brandon Busse, who also tallied one goal and two assists, and Sam Basich, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Yellowstone also got a goal from Josh Neumann as well. In addition, Yellowstone received assists from George Splichal, who had three and Tanner Fricke, James Pyle, Oli Jansson, Cameron Hardiek, and Bryan Standly, who each chipped in one.

The Icedogs were helped by Garrett Bryan, who grabbed one goal. Bryan scored 14:29 into the second period to make the score 5-3 Yellowstone. Jonathon Benavides provided the assist. Bozeman additionally got points from Trent Carter, who also registered one goal and one assist and Ben Henry, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Bozeman were Joe Dixon, who had one and Jason Henry, who had two.

Trevor Zangs rejected 19 shots on goal for Yellowstone. The Quake registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. John Shavic made 42 saves for Bozeman on 48 shots. The Icedogs ended with 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major. Bozeman ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Spencer Hallin was ejected from the game.
