Timm's goals lift Billings to 4-1 victory over Great Falls

The Billings Bulls relied on the scoring touch of Christopher Timm, who netted two goals, to beat the Great Falls Americans, 4-1.

Timm found the back of the net on the power play 7:02 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Billings and again while 19:41 into the third to make the score 4-1 Billings.

Billings' penalty kill excelled, as the Bulls gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Billings stifled Great Falls' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Billings also got points from Stephen Thompson, who also registered one goal and two assists and Jarrett Stark, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. In addition, Billings received assists from Ging Martin and Nik Nasby, who contributed two a piece.

The Americans were held below their usual level of production. Great Falls averages 3.1 goals per game.

The Americans were led by Jordan Jernigan, who scored the team's only goal. Jernigan scored 6:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Great Falls. Erik Gatson provided the assist.

The Bulls' Nic Wackerly stopped 21 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Billings incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Erik Powell rejected 21 shots on goal for Great Falls. The Americans incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
