Missoula downs Gillette in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Anders Nord gave the Missoula Maulers a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Gillette Wild when he scored 58 seconds into the extra period.

Missoula was sparked by Nord, who had one goal and one assist.

The Maulers kept Gillette's goalie busy throughout the game, and Brandon Kruckenberg made 30 saves on 34 shots.

Missoula also got points from Joey Sundgren, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Missoula also got a goal from Paigg Maul as well. In addition, Missoula received assists from Tyler Zandhuisen, Dustin Pierce, Donovan Mattfeldt, Brett Mathews, and Brock Brothers, who each chipped in one.

The Wild forced Missoula goalie Cody Janzen to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots.

Gillette was helped by Alex King, who grabbed one goal. King scored on the power play 9:14 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Wild had gotten the advantage when the Maulers' Zandhuisen was sent off for interference. Matt Rose assisted on the tally. Trent Dillinger also scored for Gillette. Other players who recorded assists for Gillette were Brandon Miller, Moco Willis, and Tyler Cavan, who contributed one a piece.

Janzen recorded 37 saves for Missoula. The Maulers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Gillette incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
