Helena rips Billings, 4-0Centennial Ice Garden Sat, Nov 03, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Billings Bulls had trouble finding ways to stop the Helena Bighorns, which beat Bulls, 4-0. Helena was led by Theo Campe, who racked up one goal. Campe scored 17:59 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Helena. Matt Mohar picked up the assist. The Bighorns put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Billings to score on any of its four power plays. Helena was held below its usual level of production. The Bighorns average 7.8 goals per game. Helena kept the Bulls' goalie busy throughout the game, and Nic Wackerly made 37 saves on 41 shots. Helena also got a goal from Damon Hanson as well. More assists for Helena came via Ben Henne, John Petersson, and Kevin Choi, who contributed one a piece and Brandon Rumble and Parker Olson, who each chipped in two. Billings could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Bulls put an average of 2.3 pucks into the net per game. Billings excelled on the penalty kill, only allowing the Bighorns to get one power play goal on 14 chances. The Bulls could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game. Jett Salinas rejected 17 shots on goal for Helena. The Bighorns incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
