Helena's Henne deadly on offense in 6-0 win against Gillette

Logan Henne was all over the ice for the Helena Bighorns, as he tallied two goals in Helena's 6-0 win over the Gillette Wild.

Henne scored at 2:30 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Helena and again while on the power play 19:48 into the second to make the score 6-0 Helena.

The Bighorns' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Gillette power plays. Helena did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Bighorns put an average of 8.3 pucks into the net per game. Helena forced Gillette goalie Nick Vittori to work between the pipes, taking 58 shots.

Helena also got points from Ben Henne, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Helena also had goals scored by Christian Axelson, who had one and Theo Campe, who had two. More assists for Helena came via Logan Hawgood, who had three, Brandon Rumble, Parker Olson, Kyle Baker, and Sean Stahlnecker, who contributed one a piece, and Corbin Belling and Nick Okada, who each chipped in two.

The Wild racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with nine minors and two majors for 28 minutes in penalty time. Gillette surpassed its season average of 24.0 penalty minutes per game. The Wild were held below their usual level of production. Gillette averages 3.4 goals per game.

The Bighorns' Jett Salinas stopped 20 shots out of the 20 that he faced. Helena totaled 33 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 2-for-9 on the power play. Vittori recorded 52 saves for the Wild.
