Paisley nets hat trick, leads Missoula to 4-0 win over Billings

The Billings Bulls could not stop the Missoula Maulers' Zach Paisley, who tallied a hat trick in a 4-0 win.

Paisley's first goal came 6:33 into the second period. He then added goals at 8:39 into the third and at 17:53 into the third.

Billings' power play was ineffective against Missoula's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Maulers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Bulls to score on any of their eight power plays. Missoula's offense operated below it season average. The Maulers average 6.8 goals per game. Missoula's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Maulers finished with 26 penalty minutes.

Missoula additionally got points from Matt Chamberlain, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Missoula were Tyler Zandhuisen, who had one and Paige Maul, who had two.

Billings' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Missoula power plays.

Cody Janzen rejected 23 shots on goal for Missoula. Nic Wackerly recorded 25 saves for the Bulls. Billings incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
