The Missoula Maulers jumped out to a four-point advantage by the end of the first period and beat the Bozeman Icedogs, 13-1. Zach Paisley was all over the ice for Missoula, as he racked up five goals in the win. Paisley notched his first tally 1:30 into the second period. He then added goals at 9:21 into the second, at 11:41 into the second, at 18:40 into the second, and at 13:15 into the third. The Maulers' penalty kill excelled, as Missoula gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. The Maulers' offense rang up 63 shots on Bozeman's net. Missoula outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, the Maulers average 7.1 goals per contest. Missoula could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 44 minutes in penalties during the game. Missoula additionally got points from Gabe Whiteman-Jones, who also had two goals and one assist, Dustin Pierce, who also registered one goal and three assists, Paigg Maul, who also tallied two goals and two assists, Brett Mathews, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Michael Cummings, who also had one goal and two assists. Missoula also got a goal from Jordan Wheatley as well. Missoula registered one goal on two power play opportunities. The Maulers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Cody Ogrin was ejected from the game. Jude Hull rejected 50 shots on goal for Bozeman. The Icedogs incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. For Bozeman, Tristen Franzen was ejected from the game.
