Helena uses big second period to beat Bozeman, 10-0

The Bozeman Icedogs was within striking distance after one period, but the Helena Bighorns put the pedal down in the second en route to a 10-0 victory.

Danny Fazio had a great game for Helena, netting two goals. Fazio scored at 18:18 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Helena and again while 1:32 into the second to make the score 2-0 Helena.

The Bighorns' offense rang up 40 shots on Bozeman's net.

Helena also got points from Theo Campe, who also finished with two goals and one assist, Damon Hanson, who also registered one goal and one assist, Dylan Webster, who also had one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, Parker Olson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Corbin Belling, who also finished with two goals and one assist. Logan Henne also scored for Helena. More assists for Helena came via Brandon Rumble, Kyle Baker, Jacob Wolter, Sean Stahlnecker, Brian Skillicorn, Matt Mohar, and Nick Okada, who contributed one a piece and Christian Axelson and Logan Hawgood, who each chipped in two.

Helena's defense shut down the Icedogs' forwards for much of the game, and Bozeman got off only 11 shots during the contest.

Troy Turpin made 11 saves for the Bighorns on 11 shots. Helena incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. John Shavic rejected 30 shots on goal for the Icedogs. Bozeman incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
