Nord leads Missoula over Great Falls, 7-2

Anders Nord had two goals and two assists to lead Missoula to a 7-2 victory over Great Falls.

Nord's tallies came at 14:54 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Missoula and 14:20 into the second to make the score 3-0 Missoula.

Missoula pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 35 penalty minutes.

Missoula kept Great Falls' goalie busy throughout the game, and Evan Hauser made 34 saves on 41 shots. Missoula was ineffective while on the power play, as it was held to two goals off of 11 man advantages. Missoula's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Missoula also got points from Tyler Zandhuisen, who also registered one goal and one assist and Donovan Mattfeldt, who also had one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Missoula included Michael Cummings, who had one and Joey Sundgren, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Missoula were Dylan Chase, who had two and Jordan Wheatley and Matt Chamberlain, who each chipped in one.

Craig Bufford also scored for Great Falls. In addition, Great Falls received assists from Nate Bastian, Daniil Kulikov, and Matt Douglas, who contributed one a piece.

Missoula's Mckinlee Baum stopped 16 shots out of the 18 that he faced. Great Falls totaled 69 minutes in penalty time with 12 minors and three majors and went 1-for-7 on the power play.
