Billings blows out Bozeman, 3-0Haynes Pavillion Sat, Oct 13, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Billings Bulls had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 3-0 win over the Bozeman Icedogs. Billings was sparked by Stephen Thompson, who had one goal. Thompson scored on the power play 1:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Billings. The Bulls had gotten the advantage when Bozeman's Christopher Timm was sent off for cross checking. Trey Robillard provided the assist. Billings' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Bozeman power plays. The Bulls was steadier on the defensive front than they have been for much of this season. Billings gives up 2.8 goals on average per game. The Bulls kept the Icedogs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jude Hull made 28 saves on 31 shots. Billings also got a goal from Nick Rizzo as well. More assists for Billings came via Erik Schulte, John Vant, and Nik Nasby, who contributed one a piece. Billings' Matt Hultman stopped 16 shots out of the 16 that he faced. The Bulls incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Bozeman incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
